Detailed Summary

In exercise of powers conferred under Rule 16(1) of the Petroleum Rules, 2002, and continuing notification S.O. 1267(E) dated 17th March, 2023, issued by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, the Central Government has extended the designation of Dhamra Port in Odisha, operated by M/s Dhamra Port Company Limited, as a landing point for Petroleum and Gas cargo imported into India by Sea. This extension is for a period of three years, effective from 16th March, 2026, to 15th March, 2029, in consideration of the necessity to import petroleum and gas in the public interest. This notification, S.O. 1202(E), was issued on 9th March, 2026, by VENKATESAPATHY S, Joint Secretary.
