NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd March, 2026
S.O. 1200(E).-Whereas, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (formerly M/s.
KINFRA Film and Video Park), had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005),
(hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES sector (formerly
IT (Animation and Gaming) sector) at Ayiroopara and Kazhakoottam Villages, Thiruvananthapuram District, in the
State of Kerala;
And, whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of
the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, had notified/de-notified the following areas
at above Special Economic Zone as per the details given below in the table: -

AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation has now proposed for
de-notification of 0.809 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Kerala has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.
GI/143/2024-IND dated 27.01.2025. Further, after de-notification, the land parcels would be utilized towards creation
of infrastructure, which would sub serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged and such de-notified area
will confirm to land use guidelines/master plans of the respective State Government;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone has recommended the
proposal for de-notification of an area of 0.809 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section
3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4
of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 0.809 hectares at Ayiroopara Village, Thiruvananthapuram District,
in the State of Kerala, thereby making the resultant area as 7.289 hectares, comprising the Survey number and the area
given below in the table, namely:-
