The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, through Notification S.O. 5648(E) issued on 8th December, 2025, has announced that the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Recycling of Ships Act, 2019 (49 of 2019), appoints the 10th day of December, 2025, as the date on which section 43 of the said Act shall come into force.
