L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-08112024-258549 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (i) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 633] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2024/KARTIKA 17, 1946 7242 GI/2024 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 8th November, 2024 G.S.R. 691(E). -The following draft rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 110 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988), is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of India are made available to the public. The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period aforesaid will be considered by the Central Government; Objections and suggestions to these draft rules, if any, may be sent to the Additional Secretary (MVL), email: [email protected], Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Transport Bhawan, Parliament Street, New Delhi-110 001. Draft Rules 1. Short title and commencement - (1) These rules may be called as the Central Motor Vehicles (...............Amendment) Rules, 2024. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 126,- i. for words and brackets ".....or the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hissar (for testing of combine harvester)....." the following shall be substituted, namely:- ".....or the Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hissar (for testing of combine harvester & agricultural tractor)....." ii. After the words and brackets ".....or the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX), Indore....." the following shall be inserted, namely:- ".....or the Southern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Anantapur (for testing of power tiller)....."
