Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a multi-product Special Economic Zone at villages of Dwarakapuram, Palepalem, Menakur, Konetirajupalem of Naidupet Mandal and Palachuru village of Pellakuru Mandal in Tirupati District (Erstwhile Nellore District) in the State of Andhra Pradesh; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, notified an area of 1032.27 hectares at above Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S.O. 491(E) dated 16th February, 2009; 6 | THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY | [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited has now proposed for de-notification of 532.17 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone; AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Andhra Pradesh has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No. INC01-IND0MISC/28/2023-INFRA dated 18th October, 2023. Further, after de-notification, the land parcels would be utilized toward creation of infrastructure which would sub-serve the objective of the SEZ as originally envisaged; AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal for de-notification of an area of 532.17 hectares of the Special Economic Zone; NOW, WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby de-notifies an area of 532.17 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 500.10 hectares.
