The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 5003(E) dated 4th November, 2025, issued by the Central Government, declares its intention to acquire land under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). This land is required for public purpose, specifically for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 75 (NH75) in the stretch from Km. 118.601 to Km. 189.5 within the Hassan district of Karnataka. Any person interested in the land may object within twenty-one days from the notification's publication date in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 3C of the Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Special Land Acquisition Officer, who will provide an opportunity for a hearing. The Competent Authority's order under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the Act shall be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule details 46 private land parcels with various types (NAK (Commercial/Residential), DRY, WET) and areas, totaling approximately 1.1007 hectares, across villages including Bommanayakanahalli, Bittagowdanahalli, Devarayapatna, Hassan (Rural), Gavenahalli, Doddamandiganahalli (OG), and Chennapatana in Hassan Taluk.

In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, is required for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.,), maintenance, management and operation of NH75 in the stretch of land from Km. 118.601 to Km. 189.5 in the district of HASSAN in the state of KARNATAKA, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of section 3C of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Special Land Acquisition Officer in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final.
