The amendment specifically directs that in the schedule to the principal notification S.O. 1200(E) dated March 16, 2018, the entry 'Revenue Divisional Officer, Usilampatti' shall be substituted with 'Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai' against serial no. 1 in column 2. The principal notification S.O. 1200(E) was originally published on March 17, 2018, with subsequent amendments made via Gazette No. S.O. 4035 (E) dated August 29, 2022, and Gazette No. S.O. 4691(E) dated October 25, 2024.

In exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956(48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in notification of the government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. 4691(E) dated 25.10.2024 for the work Construction of ROB in lieu of existing level crossing No.17 at Km 22/2 (near Checkkanurani) of NH-49Extn (New NH No. 85) Madurai-Cochin Road in the district of Madurai in the state of Tamil Nadu published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (II),25.10.2024 namely:- "In the schedule to the principal notification number S.O. 1200(E) dated 16.03.2018, against serial no. 1 in column 2 for the entry "Revenue Divisional Officer, Usilampatti" the entry " Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai" shall be substituted.
