S.O. 567(E) dated 6th February, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Health and Family Welfare), states that in exercise of powers under sub-section (2) of section 20 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), the Central Government appoints Shri Arijit Saha, Research Assistant (Biochemistry), and Shri Turjya Ray, Research Assistant (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), both at the Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Indore, to be Government Analysts for the whole of India in respect of all classes of drugs, except sixteen specified classes: sera; solution of serum proteins intended for injection; vaccines; toxins; antigens; anti-toxins; sterilised surgical ligature and sterilised suture; bacteriophages; anti-sera, vaccines, toxoids and diagnostic antigens for veterinary use; Venereal Disease Research Laboratory Antigen; human blood and human blood products (including components) tested for freedom from Human Immunodeficiency Virus antibodies; blood grouping reagents and diagnostic kits for HIV, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen and Hepatitis E Virus; and condoms.
