The Ministry of Education (Department of Higher Education) issued Notification G.S.R. 6(E) on 14th November, 2025, in exercise of powers conferred under Sub-Section (i) of (2) of Section 30 (Chapter III) of the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research Act, 2007 (29 of 2007). The President of India, acting as the Visitor for all National Institutes of Technology (NITs), the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, and the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), appointed the following persons as Visitor's nominees on the Council of National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research (NITSER): Prof. (Retd.) Arvind A. Natu (Chairperson, IISER, Kolkata), Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal (Director, CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research, New Delhi), Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain (D/o Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, IIT-Roorkee and former Director, IIT (BHU), Varanasi), Prof. Sangeeta Narendra Kale (Dean (Research) and Director (International Co-operations), Defense Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT-DRDO), Pune), and Prof. Inderjit Singh (D/o Environmental Studies, University of Delhi).
