The Directorate of Postal Life Insurance, Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, in exercise of powers under Rule 3 of the Post Office Life Insurance Rules, 2011, and based on the Actuarial Valuation of the assets and liabilities of the Rural Post Office Life Insurance Fund (RPOLIF) as on 31.03.2024, declares a simple Reversionary Bonus on Rural Postal Life Insurance policies payable on claims arising from death or maturity, at rates of Rs. 60 per thousand sum assured for Whole Life Assurance, Rs. 48 per thousand for Endowment Assurance (including Children policies), Rs. 45 per thousand for Anticipated Endowment Assurance (including Gram Priya policies), the Endowment Assurance rate on conversion of Convertible Whole Life Assurance policies, and a Terminal Bonus of Rs. 20 per Rs. 10,000 sum assured (capped at Rs. 1,000) for Whole Life and Endowment Assurance policies with a term of 20 years or more; these rates apply from 01.04.2025 for Financial Year 2025-26, with Interim Bonus payable at the same rates pending future valuation, and bonus amounts involving 50 paise or more rounded up to the next Rupee, per notification F. Interim Bonus at the rates mentioned above will also be payable for all claims arising due to maturity or death until future valuation is completed. 4. The amount of Bonus involving a fraction of 50 paisa or more shall be rounded off to the next higher Rupee and fraction below 50 paisa shall be ignored.
