Detailed Summary

The Bureau of Indian Standards, under the Department of Consumer Affairs, issued a notification on 29th April, 2025, with reference HQ-PUB015/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1220). In pursuance of Sub-rule (1) of Rule (15) of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, the Bureau notified that Amendments to Indian standards, as detailed in the annexed schedule, have been established. The schedule lists Amendment No. 4, April 2025, to Indian Standard IS 17427: 2020, titled "Wooden (Timber) Pallets for Packaging, Storage and Transportation – Specification". The date of establishment of this amendment is 28 April 2025. The standard without this amendment mentioned in column 3 shall remain in force till 27 October 2025. The notification was signed by CHITRA GUPTA, Scientist G & DDG (Hallmarking and Training) and published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III—Section 4, on Monday, May 5, 2025.
