The amendment substitutes the entry "Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai" with "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai" against serial no. 1 in column 2 of the said schedule. The principal notification S.O. 5431(E) was published on October 25, 2018, and subsequent amendments were published vide S.O. 152(E) dated January 10, 2023, and S.O. 4690(E) dated October 25, 2024. In exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956(48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in notification of the government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, S.O. 4690(E) dated 25.10.2024 for the work Construction of Atchampathu, Viratipathu Bypass from Km 6.6 to 10.4 of NH-49 Extn (New NH-85) in the district of Madurai in the state of Tamil Nadu published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (II),25.10.2024 namely:- In the schedule to the principal notification number S.O. 5431(E) dated 25.10.2018, against serial no. 1 in column 2 for the entry "Revenue Divisional Officer, Madurai" the entry " Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai” shall be substituted.
