NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th July, 2023
S.O. 2937(E).—Whereas, M/s. Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, a Government of
Odisha undertaking, had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT (Knowledge Park) at Village
Gaudakashipur and Arisal, Te hsil: Jatni, District: Khurda in the State of Odisha;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -section (1) of section
4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules 2006, vide Ministry of Com merce and
Industry Notification Number S.O. 12(E) dated 04th January, 2011 notified an area of 106.260 hectares at the above
Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation has now proposed for de -
notifica tion of 56.078 hectares from the above Special Economic Zone;
AND, WHEREAS, the State Government of Odisha has given its approval to the proposal vide letter No.
5356 dated 16th June, 2022;
AND, WHEREAS, the Development Commissioner, Falta Special Economic Zone has recommended the
proposal for de -notification of an area of 56.078 hectares of the above the Special Economic Zone. Further, after the
de-notification, the area shall be utilized for allotment to IT/ITES companies;
AND, WHEREAS, the Central Govern ment is satisfied that the requirements under sub -section (8) of section
3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
NOW, THEREFORE , in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub -section (1) of section 4
of the Special Ec onomic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the
Central Government hereby de -notifies an area of 56.078 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone, thereby
making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 50.182 hectares. The Survey numbers and area for the de -
notification are given below in the table, namely: -
