ORDER
New Delhi, the 5th January, 2026
S.O. 51(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with section 17 and sub-section (3) of
section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government, being of the opinion that
it is necessary so to do in the public interest and after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, hereby makes the
following Order further to amend the Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / Polypropylene (PP) Woven
Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Order, 2023, namely: -
1. (1) This order may be called the Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)/ Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks
for Packaging of 50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 50 kg
Cement (Quality Control) Order, 2023, in paragraph 1, for sub-paragraph (2), the following sub-paragraph shall be
substituted, namely: —
“(2) It shall come into force on the 6th day of October, 2026".

Note: The Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) / Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of
50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Order, 2023 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 5178(E), dated the 6th December, 2023 and
subsequently amended vide notification numbers S.O. 2181(E), dated the 4th June, 2024, S.O. 3938(E), dated the
13th September 2024, S.O. 5261(E), dated the 6th December, 2024, S.O. 2551(E), dated the 11th June 2025 and
S.O. 4066(E), dated the 4th September, 2025.

Packaging 50 kg Cement (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Textiles — Polypropylene (PP) Woven, Laminated, Block Bottom Valve Sacks for Packaging 50 kg Cement
(Quality Control) Order, 2023, in paragraph 1, for sub-paragraph (2), the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted,
namely:

1. (1) This order may be called the Textiles — Polypropylene (PP)/ High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Laminated Woven
Sacks for Mail Sorting, Storage, Transport and Distribution (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2026.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Textiles — Polypropylene (PP)/ High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Laminated Woven Sacks for Mail Sorting,
Storage, Transport and Distribution (Quality Control) Order, 2023, in paragraph 1, for sub-paragraph (2), the following
sub-paragraph shall be substituted, namely:
“(2) It shall come into force on the 6th day of October, 2026".
