NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th October, 2024
G.S.R. 682(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 read with section 7 of the Indian
Telegraph Act, 1885 (13 of 1985), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the
Flight and Maritime Connectivity Rules, 2018, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Flight and Maritime Connectivity (Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Flight and Maritime Connectivity Rules, 2018, in rule 9, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall
be substituted, namely:-
“(2) Notwithstanding the minimum height in Indian airspace referred to in sub-rule (1), internet services
through Wi-Fi in aircraft shall be made available when electronic devices are permitted to be used in the
aircraft."
