6960 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY 1 2 3 No. 4596] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY , NOVEMBER 3, 2023/ KARTIKA 12, 1945 CG-DL-E-04112023-249890 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFI CATION New Delhi, the 3 rd November, 2023 S.O. 4793 (E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that the functions in relation to the execution of works pertain ing to each of the National Highways described in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be exercisable by the State Government specified in column (3) of the Table against each highway subject to the condition that the State Government concerned sha ll in the exercise of such functions be bound to comply with the rules for the time being in force under the said Act and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Sh ipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways) number S.O 1096(E), dated the 4th August, 2005, namely: - In the said notification, in the Schedule, for serial number 35 and the entries relating thereto, the follo wing shall be substituted, namely: - TABLE (1) (2) (3) “35 So much of National Highways No. NH -10 [excluding from km. 52.00 to km. 80.00 (Rangpo -Ranipool Section)], NH-310 [excluding from Km. 23.316 to Km. 87.000 (Burduk –Nathula section)], NH No. 310A [excluding from Mangan, Kudyong, Chungthang, Lachung, Yumthang, Yume - Samdang Border Section and NH No. 710 as are situated within the State of Sikkim. (1) (2) (3) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 3 rd November, 2023 S.O. 4794(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of t he National Highways Act, 1956(48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby directs that the Border Roads Organization under Border Road Development Board shall exercise the function relating to the development and maintenance of the stretch as specified in column (3) of the Table below, of the corresponding section as specified in the corresponding entry in column (2), of the National Highways as specified in the corresponding entry in column (1) of the said Table.
