Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number 4153 (E) dated 5th September, 2022, issued under Section 8A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 and its subsequent amendments, Central Government has authorised the Concessionaire M/s NCR Eastern Peripheral Expressway Pvt. Ltd to collect and retain fee for the use of section from km 1.000 to km 136.000 [starting at 1.00 km distance from km 36.083 on NH-44(old NH 1) and ending at 1.00 km distance from km 64.330 on NH-19(old NH-2) (approximately 135.000 km) ] on National Highway No.NE2 in the States of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 and its subsequent amendments, the Central Government hereby makes following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways bearing S.O. No. 4153 (E), dated 5th September, 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notification”), published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), namely: (i) In the principal notification, Point No. 1 shall be substituted with the following: "1.
