The Cabinet Secretariat, through Notification S.O. 2988(E) issued on July 3, 2025, announced the Government of India (Allocation of Business) (Three Hundred and Eighty-second Amendment) Rules, 2025, enacted by the President in exercise of powers conferred by clause (3) of article 77 of the Constitution. These rules come into force immediately and introduce several amendments to THE SECOND SCHEDULE of the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, specifically under the 'MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS' and its sub-heading 'A. DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL AND TRAINING'. Key amendments include the insertion of 'The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 (1 of 2024)' as entry 2A, and the addition of 'Staff Selection Commission' (5A) and 'National Recruitment Agency' (5B) after entry 5. Entry 20A is amended to substitute 'The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 (2 of 1947)' with 'The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (49 of 1988)', and entry 20B, 'The Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013 (1 of 2014)', is inserted after 20A. Furthermore, entry 26 is updated to replace 'The Central Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1949.' with 'The Central Civil Service (Temporary Service) Rules, 1965.', and a new heading 'XIII. Right to Information.' with entry '46. The Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005).' is inserted after entry 45. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) (Three Hundred and Eighty- second Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force at once. 2. In the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, in THE SECOND SCHEDULE, under the heading "MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PUBLIC GRIEVANCES AND PENSIONS (KARMIK, LOK SHIKAYAT TATHA PENSION MANTRALAYA)", under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL AND TRAINING (KARMIK AUR PRASHIKSHAN VIBHAG)" - (i) after entry 2, the following entry shall be inserted, namely: - '2A. The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 (1 of 2024).'; (ii) after entry 5, the following entries shall be inserted, namely: - '5A. Staff Selection Commission. 5B. National Recruitment Agency.'; (iii) in entry 20A, for the words, figures and brackets ‘The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 (2 of 1947)', the words, figures and brackets 'The Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (49 of 1988)' shall be substituted; (iv) after entry 20A, the following entry shall be inserted, namely: - '20B. The Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, 2013 (1 of 2014).'; (v) in entry 26, for the words, figures and brackets ‘The Central Services (Temporary Service) Rules, 1949.', the words, figures and brackets 'The Central Civil Service (Temporary Service) Rules, 1965.' shall be substituted; (vi) after entry 45, the following heading and entry shall be inserted, namely: - 'XIII.
