The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, vide S.O. 2538(E) dated 2nd July 2024, recites that pursuant to its earlier notification S.O. 2052(E) dated 21.05.2024 issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) declaring intention to acquire land for building (widening/four-laning etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH716B from Km. 43.8 to Km. 61.38 (Laal Bahadur Shastri Street) in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, and after publication of the substance of that notification in "Dina Thanthi" (Tamil) and "The Hindu" (English) both dated 29.05.2024 under sub-section (3) of section 3A, the Competent Authority received and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and submitted its report under sub-section (1) of section 3D; the Central Government now, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 3D, declares that the land in the Schedule shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose, and further, under sub-section (2) of section 3D, declares that upon publication of this notification the specified land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances; the Schedule lists land in Pallipattu Taluk, Puniyam Village, comprising Survey/Plot Nos. 252/3B2B3D2B3D1B (0.4942 hectares, private dry land, interested persons including Parvathiyammal, Ramamoorthy, Dilli, G N Mahendiran, Dhayanantha Kumar, Prakash and Rajamma), 275/16B (0.1257 hectares, interested persons Gayathiri and Hemachandran), and 275/1A2B1D3A1A3 (0.8935 hectares, listing 35 named interested persons), totaling 1.5134 hectares, under File No. NHAI/18011/253/2018/PIU-Chennai/dt 28-03-2018/3D, and is signed by Abhay Jain, Deputy Secretary.

No. 2052(E) Dated:21/05/2024, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH716B in the stretch of land from Km. 43.8 to Km. 61.38 (Laal Bahadur Shastri Street) in the district of TIRUVALLUR in the state of TAMIL NADU And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Dina Thanthi” in Tamil Language and “The Hindu” in English Language both dated 29.05.2024 ; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
