Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued Notification S.O. 2394(E) on 30th May, 2025, declaring the acquisition of land for National Highway No. 146 [Bhopal (Ratnagiri Tiraha) - Vidisha (Morikodi) section]. This follows the Central Government's intention to acquire land, declared via Notification S.O. 1390(E) dated 26/03/2025, under Sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). The land, located in the stretch from Km. 3.900 to Km. 11.850 in the Bhopal district of Madhya Pradesh, is intended for widening/four-laning, maintenance, management, and operation of the highway. The substance of the earlier notification was published in "Patrika" and "The Hitavada" newspapers on 06.04.2025, as per Sub-section (3) of Section 3A. The Competent Authority received no objections under Section 3-C of the said Act and subsequently submitted its report to the Central Government under Sub-section (1) of Section 3D. Upon receipt of this report and in exercise of powers under Sub-section (1) of Section 3D, the Central Government has declared the land should be acquired. Furthermore, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of Section 3D, the Central Government declares that upon publication of this notification, the specified land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-03062025-263525 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2339] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, MAY 30, 2025/JYAISTHA 9, 1947 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th May, 2025 S.O. 2394(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, vide S.O. 1390(E) Dated : 26/03/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 146 [Bhopal (Ratnagiri Tiraha) - Vidisha (Morikodi) section] in the stretch of land from Km. 3.900 to Km. 11.850 in the district of BHOPAL in the state of MADHYA PRADESH; And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in Newspapers "Patrika" and "The Hitavada" both dated 06.04.2025; under Sub-section (3) of Section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has not received any objections under Section 3-C of the said Act; And whereas, in pursuance of Sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 30th May, 2025 S.O. 2394(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, vide S.O. 1390(E) Dated : 26/03/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Sub-section (1) of Section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 146 [Bhopal (Ratnagiri Tiraha) - Vidisha (Morikodi) section] in the stretch of land from Km. 3.900 to Km. 11.850 in the district of BHOPAL in the state of MADHYA PRADESH; And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in Newspapers "Patrika" and "The Hitavada" both dated 06.04.2025; under Sub-section (3) of Section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has not received any objections under Section 3-C of the said Act; And whereas, in pursuance of Sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Sub-section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of Sub-section (2) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
