                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Employees' State Insurance Corporation, under reference No. R-12/16/9/2022-Policy-BFT-II, notified that at its meeting held on 15 December 2023 it approved an enhancement, effective from 1 August 2022, in the rate of Permanent Disablement Benefit (PDB)/Dependant's Benefit (DB) for employment injury cases resulting in disablement or death occurring on or before 31 December 2021; the notification sets out a year-by-year schedule of increase percentages, from the total increase effected up to 1 August 2018 to the newly proposed extent of increase effective 1 August 2022, covering disablement/death years from 1952 through at least 1982, with the percentage of the basic amount (including previous increases) ranging from approximately 949% to 8350% depending on the year of disablement or death.
