This notification, exercising powers under Sections 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), and Paras 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, partially modifies Notification No. 36/2023 dated October 18, 2023. Previously, the export of Organic Sugar under HS Codes 17011490 and 17019990 was 'Restricted'. With immediate effect, the revised policy now permits the export of Organic Sugar under these HS Codes, subject to an overall ceiling of 50,000 MT per financial year. The procedure for this export will adhere to the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, and modalities prescribed by the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).
