In pursuance of sub-section (5) of Section 3G of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government appointed the District Magistrate, Aligarh, as Arbitrator for the Aligarh Revenue District in Uttar Pradesh; the District Magistrate, Hathras, as Arbitrator for the Hathras Revenue District in Uttar Pradesh; and the Additional Commissioner (Prashasan), Agra, as Arbitrator for the Agra Revenue District in Uttar Pradesh. These appointed officers shall exercise the powers and perform duties conferred by the said Act within their respective local jurisdictions. The notification also specifies that sub-sections (6) and (7) of Section 3G of the Act shall be considered by the Arbitrator while passing awards. Sub Section (6) & (7) of Section - 3G of the Act shall be taken into consideration while passing awards by the Arbitrator.
