Detailed Summary

This corrigendum, issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vide Notification No. S.O. 2427(E) dated 30th May, 2025, amends the previous Notification No. S.O. 2961(E) dated 19th August, 2019. Acting under powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956, the Central Government modifies the Schedule to the said Notification S.O. 2961(E). Specifically, at Sl. No. 1 of Column No. 2, the text "Special District Revenue Officer (LA-NH) Madurai, NH-785, NH-785E and NH-85 (new)" is substituted with "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai". Similarly, at Sl. No. 2 of Column No. 2, the original text "Special District Revenue Officer (LA-NH) Madurai, NH-785, NH-785E and NH-85 (new)" is substituted with "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Dindigul". The principal notification S.O. 2961(E) was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) on 19th August, 2019.

In exercise of powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways No. S.O.2961 (E) dated 19th August, 2019, Published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated 19th August, 2019 - namely: In the Schedule to the said Notification S.O. 2961(E) For the words and brackets "Special District Revenue Officer (LA-NH) Madurai, NH-785, NH-785E and NH-85 (new)" at Sl. No.1 of Column No.2, the words "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai" shall be substituted and For the words and brackets "Special District Revenue Officer (LA-NH) Madurai, NH-785, NH-785E and NH-85 (new)” at Sl.No. 2 of Column No. 2, the words "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Dindigul" shall be substituted.
