Detailed Summary

In exercise of powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government makes an amendment to the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways No. S.O.1481 (E) dated 3rd April 2018, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub Section (ii), dated 4th April 2018. The amendment, specified in S.O. 1979(E) dated 1st May, 2025, substitutes the words and brackets "District Revenue Officer, Madurai" with the words "Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, National Highways, Madurai" at Sl.No.1 of Column No.2 in the Schedule to the said Notification S.O.1481 (E). The principal notification S.O. 1481 (E) dated 3rd April 2018 was published on 4th April 2018.
