By notification S.O. 956(E) dated 29th February 2024, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways records that, pursuant to its earlier notification No. 4535 dated 16/10/2023 issued under Section 3A(1) of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), it had declared its intention to acquire land for widening/four-laning, maintenance, management and operation of NH965 from Km 176 to Km 226 (New Collector Office, Pune) in Pune district, Maharashtra; the substance of the notification was published in the newspapers Pudhari and Indian Express dated 30.11.2023 under Section 3A(3); objections filed under Section 3C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority; upon the Competent Authority's report under Section 3D(1), the Central Government declares that the land specified in the Schedule shall be acquired, and further, under Section 3D(2), that on publication the land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances; the annexed Schedule, which is incomplete in the available text, covers government and private survey/plot parcels in Pune district, Maharashtra.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th February, 2024

S.O. 956(E).-Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways, 4535 Dated:16/10/2023, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to
as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed
to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH965 in
the stretch of land from Km. 176 to Km. 226 (New collector office, Pune) in the district of PUNE in the state of
MAHARASHTRA
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "pudhari" and "indian express" both
dated Newspaper Date.30/11/2023; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and
settled the same appropriately;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

of land from Km. 176 to Km. 226 (New collector office, Pune) in the district of PUNE in the state of

This seems to be a continuation of the same entry for Sl. No. 5.

On page 10, the first block of names is:

This appears to be the *final part* of the names for Sl. No. 5, followed by the next entry (Sl. No. 6). The OCR is definitely breaking entries across pages in a very non-standard way.

To preserve formatting accurately, and represent tables clearly, I will have to concatenate all these names into the single cell for Sl. No. 5. This will make the table extremely wide. The instruction is to "Preserve formatting accurately" and "Represent tables clearly". Given the OCR, the clearest representation would be to put all those names into the single cell, even if it makes the table very wide. I will use a reasonable width for the table (e.g., 120-150 characters wide total), and let the text wrap within the last column's cell if it's too long, but try to keep it on one line as much as possible to represent the "single cell" nature.
