The Central Government thereby authorizes the officers mentioned in column (2) of the annexed Schedule as the competent authorities to perform the functions under the said Act. This authorization is effective from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette and pertains to the land acquisition for the upgradation of existing highway NH-17 from Jalukbari junction to LGBI Airport in the state of Assam, to be executed on a Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). Specifically, the ACS, Sub Divisional Officer (Sadar) is designated as the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) for the NH17 stretch from KM 134 to KM 146 in the Kamrup Metro District, Azara Taluk/Mandal, covering villages Mirzapur, JUGIPARA, AZARA, Garal (CT), and KAHIKUCHI.
