Specifically, regulation 14, sub-regulation (2), clause (c) of the 1997 Regulations is renumbered as clause (c)(i), and a new sub-clause (ii) is inserted. This new sub-clause permits an employee to voluntarily retire after giving three months' written notice to the Competent Authority, provided they have completed twenty years of service (if not governed by the National Housing Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2003) or twenty years of qualifying service (if governed by the National Housing Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2003). The original National Housing Bank (Officers') Service Regulations, 1997, were published vide G.S.R.213 (E) dated April 11, 1997, and subsequently amended on October 30, 1998 (G.S.R. 650(E)), September 12, 2007 (No. NHB/STF/POL/27), and May 23, 2014 (No. G.S.R. HO/HRMD/DOC/2025/03246.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55 of the National Housing Bank Act, 1987 (53 of 1987), the Board, with the previous approval of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the National Housing Bank (Officers') Service Regulations, 1997, namely: - 1. (1) These regulations may be called the National Housing Bank (Officers') Service (Amendment) Regulations, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the National Housing Bank (Officers') Service Regulations, 1997, in regulation 14, in sub-regulation (2), clause (c) shall be renumbered as clause (c) (i) and after sub-clause (i) as so renumbered and before the first proviso, the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely: - "(ii) Without prejudice to sub-clause (i), an employee may voluntarily retire after giving to the Competent Authority three months' notice in writing provided he has completed twenty years of service if he is not governed by the National Housing Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2003, and twenty years of qualifying service as defined in the National Housing Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2003, if he is governed by the National Housing Bank (Employees') Pension Regulations, 2003.".
