Detailed Summary

This notification, S.O. 3394(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on June 24, 2026, declares the acquisition of land for the building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 552G (NH552G) in the stretch from Km. 3.5 to Km. 6.4 in Dhabla Rehwari village, Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh. This declaration is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) and sub-section (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). It follows a previous notification of the Government of India, S.O. 3490(E) dated July 29, 2025, which published the Central Government's intention to acquire the land under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the said Act. The substance of the intention notification was published in "Free Press" and "Dainik Bhaskar" on August 12, 2025, as required by sub-section (3) of section 3A of the Act. The Competent Authority considered and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and submitted its report to the Central Government. Upon publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule, totaling 9.4717 Hectares, will vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-01072026-273969 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 3260] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, JUNE 25, 2026/ ASADHA 4, 1948 4701GI/2026 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 24th June, 2026 S.O. 3394(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 3490 Dated:29/07/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub- section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intension to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for building (widening/four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH552G in the stretch of land from Km. 3.5 to Km. 6.4 in the district of UJJAIN in the state of MADHYA PRADESH And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Free Press” dated 12/08/2025 , "Dainik Bhaskar" dated 12/08/2025 ; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
