This action by the Central Government is exercised under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). This current declaration follows the Central Government's earlier intention to acquire the land, published via notification 1974-E dated May 1, 2025, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the same Act. The substance of the prior notification was also published in 'The Indian Express' and 'Rastradoot' on June 6, 2025, as per sub-section (3) of section 3A. The Competent Authority considered and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and subsequently submitted its report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 3D. The acquired land, located in the stretch from Km. 96.00 to Km. 109.00 of NH-23 in the Karauli district of Rajasthan, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, upon publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-01072025-264274 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 2842] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, JULY 1, 2025/ASHADHA 10, 1947 MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st July, 2025 S.O. 2909(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 1974-E Dated: 01/05/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for construction of two lane paved shoulder, Maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 23 in the stretch of land from Km. 96.00 to Km. 109.00 in the district of KARAULI in the state of RAJASTHAN. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Indian Express” and “Rastradoot” both dated 06.06.2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Indian Express” and “Rastradoot” both dated 06.06.2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Indian Express” and “Rastradoot” both dated 06.06.2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
