Issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 29th December 2023 as S.O. 5500(E), this notification concerns land required for the Toll Plaza and for maintenance, management and operation of NH527E between km 23.9 and km 43 (under the District Land Acquisition Office, Collectorate, Samastipur) in Samastipur district, Bihar; following the Central Government's declaration of intention to acquire the land under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) vide notifications No. 497 dated 07.02.2022 and 4147(E) dated 20.09.2023, publication of the substance of the notification in 'Hindustan' and 'Prabhat Khabar' on 07.10.2023 under sub-section (3) of section 3A, consideration and settlement of objections filed under section 3-C, and submission of the Competent Authority's report under sub-section (1) of section 3D, the Central Government, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 3D, declares the scheduled land shall be acquired, and, under sub-section (2) of section 3D, that on publication the land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances; the annexed Schedule lists individual survey/plot numbers, land types, areas in hectares, and named owners in villages including Shripura Ghar, Khanpur taluk, Samastipur district.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th December, 2023
S.O. 5500(E).—In Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, 497 Dated:07/02/2022, 4147 (E) Dated:20/09/2023, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48
of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land
specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for construction of Toll Plaza Maintenance, management
and operation of NH527E in the stretch of land from Km. 23.9 to Km. 43 (Distrct Land Acquisition office,
Colectorate, Samastipur) in the district of SAMASTIPUR in the state of BIHAR
And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "Hindustan" and "Prabhat
Khabar" both dated 07-10-2023; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;
And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and
settled the same appropriately;
And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government;
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
