                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Railways, South Central Railway, issued Notification S.O. 2015(E) dated 16th May 2024 from Secunderabad. It recites that by notification S.O. 2181(E) dated 15th May 2023, issued under sub-section (1) of section 20A of the Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government had declared its intention to acquire land for the Special Railway Project "Khandwa Akola Gauge Conversion (MG to BG)" in Maharashtra, that the substance of the notification was published in the newspapers "Dainik Bhaskar (Hindi)" and "Lokmat (Hindi)" on 1st June 2023 by Hemant Kumar Bhagoria, Chief Engineer-V, Construction Organization Secunderabad under sub-section (4) of section 20A, and that 63 objections received for Lohgaon Khurd, Ladnapur, Sagoda and Tunki Bk. villages of Buldhana district were disposed of by the Sub Divisional Magistrate (Revenue) and Competent Authority, Jalgaon Jamod. Following the competent authority's report under sub-section (1) of section 20E, the Central Government, in exercise of powers under sub-section (1) of section 20E, declares the scheduled lands shall be acquired, and under sub-section (2) of section 20E declares that on publication the land shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances. NOTIFICATION
Secunderabad, the 16th May, 2024

S.O. 2015(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways
(Railway Board), number, S.O 2181 (E) dated the 15th May 2023 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II,
section 3 Sub-section(ii), dated the 15th May 2023 (here in after referred to as the said notification) and issued under
sub-section(1) of section 20(A) of the Railway Act, 1989(24 of 1989), the Central Government declares its intention
to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for the purpose of execution,
maintenance, management and operation of Special Railway Project, namely Khandwa Akola Gauge Conversion (MG
to BG) in the State of Maharashtra.

And whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in daily newspapers namely "Dainik
Bhaskar (Hindi) and Lokmat (Hindi)" on 01st June 2023 by Hemant Kumar Bhagoria, Chief Engineer-V, Construction
Organization Secunderabad under sub section(4) of section 20A of the said Act;

And whereas, for Lohgaon Khurd, Ladnapur, Sagoda and Tunki Bk. (04) Villages of Buldhana district 63
Objections received to the Sub Divisional Magistrate (Revenue) and Competent Authority Jalgaon Jamod (MH)
which have been dispose of by filling case.

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of 20E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its
report to the Central Government;

Now therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority and in exercise of the powers conferred
by sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands specified in
the schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government here by
declares that on publication of this notification in the official Gazette, the land specified in the schedule annexed here
to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
