Publication of notification in respect of ROB in lieu of LC No 44 in terms of clause 20E of Railway Act 1989

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-KA-E-21082026-275642 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4402] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 2026/SHRAVAN 28, 1948 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS [South Western Railway (Construction Organization)] NOTIFICATION Bengaluru, the 19th August, 2026 S.O. 4582(E). - Whereas by the notification of the Central Government (Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment) S.O. 5748(E) dated: 11.12.2025 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (herein referred to as the said act) the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment declare its intention to acquire the land specified in the schedule annexed to the said notification for in Construction of ROB and LHS in Lieu of LC No. 44 between Tumakuru- Mallasandra Ch:75/300-400 in the district of Tumakuru in the state of Karnataka. And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Udaya Vani” News Paper dated 23.12.2025 and in "Indian Express" News Paper and "The Hindu” News Paper dated 23.12.2025 under Section 2, Clause 20A of Railway Act-1989. And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under section 2, clause 20D, considered and settled the same appropriately. And whereas, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act-1989, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment. Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act 1989 the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of Section 2, Clause 20E of Railway Act-1989, the Ministry of Railway, South Western Railway, Construction Organisation, Bengaluru Cantonment hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
