The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued Notification S.O. 4116(E) on July 27, 2026, under sub-section (1) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), declaring the acquisition of land. This land is intended for the building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway No. 167AG, specifically within the stretch from Km 37.900 to Km 48.985 (Kondamudu to Perecherla) in the GUNTUR district of ANDHRA PRADESH. This declaration follows a previous notification, 4277(E) dated September 22, 2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), which expressed the Central Government's intention to acquire the land under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the said Act. The substance of the earlier notification was also published in "Andhra Prabha" and "The Times of India" on September 26, 2025. Objections filed under Section 3-C were considered and settled by the Competent Authority, who subsequently submitted a report to the Central Government under sub-section (1) of section 3D. Upon publication of this notification, the land specified in the Schedule, with or without structures, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances, as mandated by sub-section (2) of section 3D of the Act. The Schedule details various private and government land parcels, totaling 11.9237102 Hectares, located in the Phirangipuram and Medikonduru Taluks, across villages Aminabad, Korrapadu, Medikonduru, and Mangalagiripadu. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th July, 2026

S.O. 4116(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport
and Highways, 4277(E) Dated:22/09/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-
section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule
annexed to the said notification for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc...)
of Maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 167AG in the stretch of land from Km 37.900
to Km48.985 (Kondamudu to Perecherla) in the district of GUNTUR in the state of ANDHRA PRADESH

And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “Andhra Prabha" and "The
Times of India" both dated 26-09-2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act;

And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and
settled the same appropriately;

And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its
report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers
conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall
vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
