S.O. 5060(E), dated 28th November 2023, issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways: in exercise of powers under sub-section (2) of section 2 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government amends notification S.O. 689(E) dated 4th April 2011 (as subsequently amended by S.O. 2757(E) dated 23rd June 2023), substituting the Schedule entries for serial numbers 133, 74 and 79: NH-139 (formerly 133) runs from its junction with NH-39 near Rajhara through Chhatarpur and Hariharganj (Jharkhand), Aurangabad, Daudnagar, Arwal, Naubatpur and Anishabad, terminating at its junction with NH-22 near Saristabad, Patna (Bihar); NH-22 (formerly 74) runs from Sonbarsa (Indo/Nepal Border) through Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Mithapur RoB, Saristabad, Nathupur, Ram Govind Singh Mahuli (Patna), Punpun, Jehanabad, Gaya, Bodh Gaya and Dobhi (Bihar), Hunterganj and Chatra, terminating at its junction with NH-39 near Chandwa (Jharkhand); and NH-922 (formerly 79) runs from its junction with NH-139W near Khagaul Lock (Patna) through Danapur Railway Station, Bihta, Ara and Bhojpur, terminating near Buxar (Bihar); File No. NH-14012/10/2023-P&M; signed by Abhay Jain, Deputy Secretary.
