EC/LA/PIU(KGP)/2022 -23/3D ] MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 26th July, 2023 S.O. 3355(E).—Whereas by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Number S.O. 1985 (E) dated 01st May 2023 pu blished in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub -section (ii) issued under sub -section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intent ion to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said Notification for building (widening/ two laning with paved shoulder/four laning etc.), maintenance, management and operation of NH-116A (Kharagpur -Bardhaman -Moregram Sectio n of Economic Corridor) in the stretch of land from Km 62.500 to Km 90.000 in the district of BANKURA in the State of WEST BENGAL. And whereas the substance of the said Notification has been published in “THE TELEGRAPH” and “ANANDABAZAR PATRIKA” both dated 21st May 2023 under sub -section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas 1(one) no of objection has been received under sub section (1) of Section 3C of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) from one person by the Competent Authority within t he stipulated period of 21 days starting from the date of publication of the Notification u/s 3A of NH Act, 1956. And whereas the said objection under sub section (1) of Section 3C has been disallowed and disposed by the Competent Authority under sub sect ion (2) of Section 3C; And whereas, in pursuance of sub -section (1) of Section 3D of the said Act, the Competent Authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority and i n exercise of the powers conferred by the sub -section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; And further, in pursuance of sub -section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbran ces.
