Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 3321(E) dated 19th June, 2026, has declared the Central Government's intention to acquire land for public purpose under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). This land is required for the building (including widening, two-lane with paved shoulder, or four-laning), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 168A (NH-168A) within the stretch from Km. 33.600 to Km. 45.050, specifically around the Collector office Dhanera, in the district of Banaskantha, state of GUJARAT. The notification specifies that any person interested in the said land may object within twenty-one days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 3C of the Act. Objections must be made in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Deputy Collector, who will provide an opportunity for hearing. The order issued by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final. Land plans and other details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule lists 125 private land parcels across villages Thawar, Samarwada, and Dhanera in Dhanera Taluk, Banaskantha District, totaling approximately 3.4621 Hectares, with land types varying between Agriculture, Non Agriculture, or a combination thereof.

No. RW/NH-12012/07/2017/GJ/ZONE-V/3A2] SHAIKH AMINKHAN, Director MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19th June, 2026 S.O. 3321(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, is required for building (widening/two lane with paved shoulder/four laning etc.,), maintenance, management and operation of NH-168A in the stretch of land from Km. 33.600 to Km. 45.050 (Collector office Dhanera) in the district of Banaskantha in the state of GUJARAT, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land. Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of section 3C of the said Act. Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Deupty Collector in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow the objections. Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final. The land plans and other details of the land to be acquired under their notification are available and can be inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
