By notification S.O. 4972(E) dated 19th November, 2024, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, in exercise of powers under clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), authorized officers listed in the annexed Schedule as competent authorities with effect from publication, in respect of the stretch of land from Km. 246 to Km. 271 and Km. 239.4 to Km. 246 of NH39 for building (widening/four-laning), maintenance, management and operation in Madhya Pradesh; the Schedule designates the Sub-Divisional Officer, Gurh (Rewa District, Gurh taluk) for the Km. 246-271 stretch, covering 18 villages including Reethi, Umari (Awadheshpur), Khadda and Puras, and the Sub-Divisional Officer, Huzur (Rewa District, Huzur taluk) for the Km. 239.4-246 stretch, covering villages including Barsaita Desh, Amiliha, Gudhwa, Lohi, Bhanpur, Jori, Khaur and Kothi; the notification (F. No. 1944/2022-G3, dated 05.07.2022/3A) was signed by Abhay Jain, Director.
