The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued Notification S.O. 4542(E) on 14th August, 2026, declaring the Central Government's intention to acquire land for the rehabilitation and upgradation of National Highway 548-C. This action is taken in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). The land is required for a 4-lane with paved shoulder configuration for NH-548-C, specifically Package I, covering the stretch from NH-65 near Tembhurni (km 157/350) to Kuslamb (km 230/160) in the district of Solapur, State of Maharashtra. The route includes Tembhurni, Kurduwadi, Barshi, Yedshi, Murud, and Latur. Interested persons may object to this land use within twenty-one (21) days from the notification's publication date in the Official Gazette, as per sub-section (1) of section 3C of the said Act. Objections must be submitted in writing to the Competent Authority, identified as the Sub-Divisional Officer Solapur no 1 Solapur in Maharashtra. The Competent Authority will provide a hearing and its order, made under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the Act, shall be final. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th August, 2026
S.O. 4542(E). — In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National
Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being
satisfied that for the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below is required
for, Land acquisition for Rehabilitation and Upgradation for the 4 lane with paved shoulder configuration for NH-548-
C starting from NH-65 near Tembhurni Kurduwadi - Barshi - Yedshi - Murud - Latur (PKG - I Tembhurni from km
157/350 to Kuslamb 230/160) NH-548C in the district of SOLAPUR in the state of MAHARASHTRA. hereby
declares its intention to acquire such land.

Any person interested in the said lands may, within twenty-one (21) days from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of
section 3C of the said Act.

Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, Sub-Divisional Officer Solapur no
1 Solapur in the state of Maharashtra in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority
shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing
all such objections and after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by
order, either allow or disallow the objections.

Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall
be final.

The land plans and other details of the land to be covered under this notification are available and can be
inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
