In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 5 read with clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956), the Central Government hereby appoints Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, Secretary, Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education as Member of the University Grants Commission for a term of three years or till such time Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee occupies the post of Secretary, Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education or until further orders, whichever is earliest.
