The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, by notification S.O. 2750(E) dated 12th July 2024, in exercise of powers under clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), authorizes the Deputy Collector (LA No. 21), Satara, as the competent authority for land acquisition functions, effective from the date of publication, in respect of three stretches of NH160 Extension (Bhusanpadan Bhavan, Sadar Bazar, Satara) -- Km 301.43 to 317.2, Km 317.2 to 340.25, and Km 340.25 to 272.2 -- being upgraded to two-laning with paved shoulders in Satara district, Maharashtra, spanning the Phaltan, Man and Khatav Taluks and covering numerous named villages including Zirapwadi, Bhadali, Mogarale, Dahiwadi, Tadavale and Mayani; the file reference is RO/MUM/NH(O)/2023-24/61 and the notification is signed by Abhay Jain, Deputy Secretary.
