                Detailed Summary
            

            
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, through Notification S.O. 4413(E) dated August 7, 2026, has declared the Central Government's intention to acquire land for public purpose. This land, located in the district of GAYA in the state of BIHAR, specifically a stretch along NH2 from Km. 188.352 to Km. 249.302 (Land Acquisition Office Collectorate Gaya), is required for the building (widening/Four lane with paved shoulder/Six laning), maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 2. This declaration is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). Any person interested in the said land may object within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this notification to the Competent Authority, namely, DISTRICT LAND ACQUISITION OFFICE GAYA, as per sub-section (1) of section 3C of the Act. The Competent Authority will provide a hearing, and its order under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final. Land plans and other details are available for inspection at the Competent Authority's office. The Schedule details land parcels across villages including Hamzapur, Ekauna, Bankat, Suggi, Karamdih, Pindari, Gopala, Barki Sawo, Mahapur, Simri, Budhaul, Jaspur, Naudiha, Rampur, Bishunpur, Taradih, Naugarh, and Majhaulia in Taluk Amas, with a total area of 1.916808 Hectares to be acquired, comprising both private and government land of various types like Dhanhar, Makan, Bhith, Nayi Parti, and Agriculture.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th August, 2026

S.O. 4413(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government, after being satisfied that for
the public purpose, the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule below, is required for building
(widening/Four lane with paved shoulder/Six laning etc.,), maintenance, management and operation of NH2 in the
stretch of land from Km. 188.352 to Km. 249.302 (Land Acquisition Office Collectorate Gaya) in the district of GAYA
in the state of BIHAR, hereby declares its intention to acquire such land.

Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of publication of this
notification in the Official Gazette, object to the use of such land for the aforesaid purpose under sub-section(1) of
section 3C of the said Act.

Every such objection shall be made to the Competent Authority, namely, DISTRICT LAND ACQUISTION
OFFICE GAYA in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof and the Competent Authority shall give the objector an
opportunity of being heard, either in person or by a legal practitioner, and may, after hearing all such objections and
after making such further enquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority thinks necessary, by order, either allow or disallow
the objections.

Any order made by the Competent Authority under sub-section (2) of section 3C of the said Act shall be final.

The land plans and other details of the land to be acquired under their notification are available and can be
inspected by the interested person at the aforesaid office of the Competent Authority.
