S.O. 549(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on 6th February 2024 under clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), authorizes the officers listed in the annexed Schedule as competent authorities to perform functions under the Act, with effect from publication, for the stretch of land from Km. 0 to Km. 32.300 of the Greenfield Highway (widening/four-laning etc.) providing road connectivity to the proposed Vadhavan Port in Maharashtra; the Schedule designates the Sub Divisional Officer, Dahanu as competent authority for Km 0 to Km 11.4 (villages including Varor, Vasgaon, Tanshi, Bawde, Vanegaon, Kolavali and Chinchani in Dahanu Taluk, Palghar district), the District Rehabilitation Officer, Palghar for Km 11.4 to Km 28.7 (villages including Newale, Ranishingaon, Hanuman Nagar, Sumdi, Gargaon, Chinchare, Akegavhan, Naniwali, Ambedhe, Akoli, Ravate, Shigaon, Khutad and Boisar in Palghar Taluk), and again the Sub Divisional Officer, Dahanu for Km 28.7 to Km 32.3 (villages including Saye, Ghol, Tawa, Kolhan, Dhamtane, Peth and Urse Tarf Aasheri); the notification is signed by Abhay Jain, Deputy Secretary, under file number NHAI/LA/GREENFIELD/NH/2023.
