Core Purpose

Specifies recruitment rules for Taxidermist Grade III post in Zoological Survey of India, superseding previous rules.

Detailed Summary

This notification establishes the Zoological Survey of India (Taxidermist Grade III) Recruitment Rules, 2025, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. These rules supersede the 1963 recruitment rules concerning the Junior Taxidermist post. The document outlines the post's details including name, number (10, subject to workload variation), classification (General Central Service Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial), and pay matrix level (Level-5). It specifies direct recruitment as the method via the Staff Selection Commission, sets age limits (18-27 years, relaxable for government servants), and defines essential qualifications: 12th pass with Biology plus 3 years experience in taxidermy or a Diploma in Museology. The probation period is two years. The rules address disqualifications related to marriage and grant the Central Government power to relax rule provisions.
