Detailed Summary

This notification, S.O. 3549(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on July 1, 2026, declares the acquisition of land for the construction, maintenance, management, and operation of National Highway 151K (NH 151K) in the stretch from Km. 17.4 to Km. 51.2 within the Devbhumi Dwarka district of Gujarat. This declaration is made by the Central Government under sub-section (1) and (2) of section 3D of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). It follows a previous notification, S.O. 3730(E) dated August 13, 2025, which declared the intention to acquire the land under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the said Act. The substance of the intention notification was published in "The Indian Express" and "AAJKAL" on September 4, 2025, as required by sub-section (3) of section 3A. The Competent Authority considered and settled objections filed under Section 3-C and submitted its report to the Central Government. Upon publication of this notification, the specified land, totaling 3.9107 hectares across villages like Verad and Bharatpur in Bhanvad Taluk, shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances. No. GJ/LA-NH-151K/30/12/2023-24/3D] SHAIKH AMINKHAN, Director MINISTRY OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 1st July, 2026 S.O. 3549(E).— Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 3730 (E) Dated:13/08/2025, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highway Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for construction of Toll Plaza Maintenance, management and operation of NH 151K in the stretch of land from Km. 17.4 to Km. 51.2 in the district of DEVBHUMI DWARKA in the state of GUJARAT And whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in "The Indian Express" dated 04/09/2025, “AAJKAL" dated 04/09/2025; under sub-section (3) of section 3A of the said Act; And whereas the Competent Authority has received objections filed under Section 3-C, considered and settled the same appropriately; And whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted its report to the Central Government; Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the competent authority and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose; THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY | [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
