The Central Government declares its intention to acquire land for the building, maintenance, management, and operation of a section of the Jaipur-Kishangarh-Ajmer-Jodhpur-Interchange with Amritsar-Jamnagar Corridor under the National Highways Act, 1956.

The Central Government hereby notifies the area around the boundary of Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary in the State of Bihar as the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary Eco-sensitive Zone, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clauses (v) and (xiv) of sub-section (2) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with sub-rule (3) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986.

The Central Government authorizes specific officers as competent authorities under clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act, 1956, for the building, maintenance, management, and operation of a designated highway stretch in Rajasthan.

The Central Government publishes a draft notification proposing to declare the area around Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary in Bihar as an Eco-sensitive Zone under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, for public information and inviting suggestions within sixty days.

Declaration under Section 3D of the National Highways Act, 1956 that specified land in Ambedkar Nagar district, Uttar Pradesh vests absolutely in the Central Government for widening of National Highway No. 135A.
